9 Good Reasons for Your September Getaway

Why September in the Vinschgau is so special

Our golden rule for late summer: the sooner you book, the more sunshine awaits you!

1. Indian summer in the Vinschgau simply feels special.

Especially beautiful. Especially exciting. Especially adventurous. Especially peaceful. Especially relaxed. Especially delicious. Especially full of wine. Simply just right! That actually says it all – but because it really is that wonderful, here’s a little September feeling to get you inspired ;)

2. Spectacular views and panoramic landscapes as far as the eye can see.

Between the first snow-dusted peaks, full vineyards, green alpine meadows and forests slowly turning colourful. In September – between hot summer and cool autumn – nature reveals a truly unique charm.

3. Now is the perfect time to conquer the mountains!

If you prefer a more relaxed pace, head out on a gentle alpine hut tour or enjoy a leisurely walk along the enchanting Waalwege irrigation paths. But you can still aim high: choose a summit tour and you’ll be rewarded with crystal-clear air and breathtaking panoramas.

4. Whether you’re a mountain biker, road cyclist, e-biker or leisure rider – there’s a route for everyone.

And in September, everything is perfectly rideable. With fewer crowds and no traffic jams, cycling becomes much more relaxed. What’s missing now? You and your bike!

5. In September, the authentic South Tyrolean feeling becomes even stronger.

Authentic experiences such as cattle drives and transhumance, traditional cuisine with dumplings and hearty “Brettlmarende” snacks on alpine pastures, and the warm hospitality of rustic hut hosts await you.

6. September is also the perfect time for peace and relaxation. It’s quiet. We have space.

Space to stretch out and unwind. Whether outdoors or indoors – sweating in the panoramic sauna or enjoying a good book in the relaxation room.

7. Deep relaxation and mindfulness also come through the skilled hands of Annalena, Harald & Leonie.

Release tension, clear your mind or even embark on a shamanic journey – that’s September too. Afterwards, you’ll feel like you’re floating on clouds and ready for any adventure ;)

8. Of course – September is also harvest time!

We celebrate this season in a very special way – especially since we have our own Jenlin wines! From wine hikes and mindful moments in the vineyard to wine-infused sauna rituals, tastings at the Schlössl or simply enjoying a glass of vino on the sunny terrace – we live and love wine. Just like you.

9. As cosy as September is – our gateway to autumn – it’s also a busy time for our host Hansjörg.

Between the grape harvest, apple picking and vegetable harvest, he is especially in demand during these weeks. And we’re so grateful for that. Because of it, everything simply tastes better in September! Our garden offers an abundance of colourful, flavourful produce. Our precious organic vegetables go straight from his hands, through the talented hands of our kitchen team, onto your plate.

So, what are you waiting for?
